This book about "dal Pescatore" restaurant is also
the story of the Santini family from Canneto sull'Oglio (MN)
who originally opened it in 1925.
Through the history of the family, now in its fourth generation
(Antonio, Teresa, Giovanni, Bruna, Antonio, Nadia, Giovanni,
Alberto), and a presentation of the most important recipes,
the book takes us into a world deeply rooted in the traditions
of the countryside and Italian cuisine. At the same time we
are launched on an evocative trip full of surprises, which
we experience whenever we enter a great restaurant with curiosity
and pleasure.
This book is an invitation to enter into the heart of "dal
Pescatore" restaurant through the faces and hands of
the protagonists, the surrounding area, the products of the
kitchen, the preparation and the dishes, the recommended wines,
all of which are the result of a life of experience and the
choices which Antonio and Nadia Santini make every day with
the help of their family and their collaborators.

restaurant and the Santini family is recounted through the
writings of the journalist and writer Aldo Santini, from Livorno
in Tuscany and by the photos taken by Maurice Rougemont, from
Paris. The recipes were written by Nadia and Antonio Santini
and edited by Gino Ruozzi, writer and University lecturer.
All the featured dishes were prepared and photographed, by
Giovanni Gerardi, from Marsala in Sicily, in the kitchen at
"dal Pescatore" restaurant in Runate di Canneto
sull'Oglio."
